Castlebots touch
A downloadable game for Linux
Fork of: https://www.lexaloffle.com/bbs/?tid=36582
About this fork
This version differs from the original project in a few key ways:
-
The game runs on LÖVE2D, using a PICO-8–compatible engine called PicoLove: https://github.com/picolove/picolove
Just like other forks I submitted here, this fork adds mobile and touch friendly features to the game and is aimed at mobile phones.
I currently only provided packages for Postmarket Os, the APK files are actually Alpine linux packages and not android packages, the provided packages will not work on android. If you want to play this game in a browser, with a gamepad and / or on a desktop I recommend you to use the original project instead (This fork is designed specifically for mobile devices and touch screens)
Useful tip:
The game includes a pull-down menu that can be accessed by swiping down anywhere on the screen, as long as you’re not touching the on-screen controls. This will reveal a menu sliding down from the top of the screen.
Most of the options are still a work in progress. However, the last option at the top lets you quickly close the game—just pull down until you reach it, then release.
The first option is intended to rotate the screen, but this feature is still under development and not fully functional yet.

Android support
I do not use Android and do not plan to provide Android packages. However, the game can be played on Android with some manual setup.
How to play on Android
-
Install LÖVE2D on your device
- Extract the LÖVE game files from the Alpine APK (Alpine APK files are essentially
tar.gzarchives with extra metadata: # https://wiki.alpinelinux.org/wiki/Apk_spec)
3. Launch LÖVE2D and load the extracted game
